Google Chat

Google Chat is a communication platform developed by Google for teams and individuals to chat, share files, and collaborate in real-time. It allows users to send direct messages to individuals or groups, make voice and video calls, and integrate with other Google Workspace apps like Google Drive and Google Meet. Google Chat can be accessed via a web browser, desktop app, or mobile app.

Step by step how to use Google Chat in Victoria

1. Log in to your Google account. 
2. Once you're logged in, click on the "Chat" icon located in the sidebar on the right-hand side of the screen. If you don't see the "Chat" icon, click on the "More" button and select "Chat" from the list of options.
3. In the Chat window, you can start a new conversation by clicking on the "New message" icon in the top left-hand corner. You can also select an existing conversation to continue it.
4. To add people to your conversation, type their name or email address in the search bar at the top of the Chat window. You can add multiple people to a conversation.
5. Once you've added people to your conversation, type your message in the text box at the bottom of the window and hit "Enter" to send it. You can also add emojis, files, and links to your message.
6. If you want to start a group conversation, click on the "New Group" button in the top left-hand corner of the Chat window. Give your group a name, add members, and click "Create."
7. You can also create rooms for specific topics or projects. To create a room, click on the "Rooms" icon in the sidebar and click "Create a room." Give your room a name, add members, and select the room's settings.
8. To customize your Chat settings, click on the three-dot icon in the top right-hand corner of the Chat window and select "Settings." Here, you can change your notifications, set your availability, and more.
9. To access your Chat history, click on the "Chat" icon in the sidebar and select "All conversations." You can search for specific conversations or messages using the search bar at the top of the screen.
